Of course the Warden will hear your requests for personal items such as clothing or jewelry, but any requests for contraband will be strictly denied. Introduction. A new world with a new life. Before you even open your eyes, the stale air and the clean smell catches your attention. You wake up on a hospital bed. Just as you do, a doctor walks in the room. He hands you clean clothes and a card, but of course, that answers none of your confusion. As your eyes wander the room, the doctor simply says, "Aliunde". This probably doesn't answer anything more from before. You notice that the room you are in is entirely white, excluding the computer screens and some weird, platform-like machine. Why have you been brought here, you may ask? That's a good question. There must have been something that you wanted to get away from. Why else would you be here? At least, that is what the doctor claims. With a small 'beep', an image appears on one of the walls. No, it's not an image, it's outside. A city just like any other city you would see in an urban area. Skyscrapers block you from seeing further than a few dozen miles. You discover that this city is, in fact, quite large. It's your new home, whether you like it or not. The year is 2256, and you are no longer on Earth. Aliunde is a different planet. One might want to say it is new, but the correct statement is that it's a reborn planet. I'm sure you're confused about all of this. Don't worry. You'll be here for a while so you have time to learn.

Story & Setting. For centuries, Earth and other discovered alien planets had been facing many problems caused by its inhabitants. With conflicts such as overpopulation and resources running dry, scientists were presented with the idea of finding another place that others could live. It took an extreme amount of time, but finally they were able to create a device that launched a process of terraforming through its environment, making the planet hospitable to humanoids alike. They found a deserted planet, and launched the device. Unfortunately, the planet was not stable. Seasons passed within days, and natural disasters occurred daily. The planet was in a rapidly repeating cycle. Organisms on the planet would die and come back to life, their life span being divided exponentially. Everything was repeating nonstop. Still, some scientists remained determined to make this work. A few went down to work on the device implanted in the surface. After working non-stop, they discovered that they made some progress. The device was able to keep the environment stable in about a 50 mile radius. Finally, they achieved some success. Adequate for now, they built a city in the center of the stable area and built a large wall around the perimeter, to protect the inhabitants. The year being 2256, the technology is very advanced. Most devices are able to be turned on simply with a verbal command. Teleporters can be used to travel, but some may prefer to just walk. Though, the teleporters have their limits. Weapons can only be accessed with permission.

Church.

It sounds like a safe place, with nice, friendly people. But as is almost always the case, appearances can be deceiving. The friendly gentleman you sat next to? Beats his wife after he's had a few. The pretty, outgoing blonde that helps teach Bible Study? She's been having an affair with another church member for years--both of them cheating on their spouses. And that angelic looking pre-teen boy? He's the local school bully.

But to counter them, you have the quiet woman in the back who volunteers at a soup kitchen three days a week, the older gentleman with the bad hip, who reads to the blind every Monday, and the teenaged girl who helps organize the food and clothing drives at her high school.

New Life Church is a new, livejournal-based RPG, seeking to incorporate all types of personalities into a protestant church setting. How good (or not) your character is, is up to you.

The church is only part of the game, as you'll be free to play out your characters' lives in all sorts of settings--at home, work, shopping, and of course, at church, creating virtually limitless opportunities for interaction!

The Story

Good morning. Did you sleep well? Good, because upon waking up, you will find yourself in an eerily dark, barren desert completely unlike any place you've ever been before. Your flesh-and-bone body will be gone, leaving you a spirit resembling your former self. Welcome to Zero Hour; a kind of hell unlike any other. But you do have a choice. You can escape Zero Hour - and being a spirit forever - if you pay a small price. By giving up something important, you can gain a body ... and access to the mystical world of Adaugeo, a world connected to the one you are so familiar with. Within Adaugeo, there are four separate sections, one representing each season. Within these segments, people carry out what most normal humans would consider a normal life - eating, working, playing ... and occasionally fighting. Unless you have deemed it otherwise, you still have the powers you once had in your home world ... and so does everybody else living around you. Once you have gained a body and been assigned to a segment of this foreign place, you will also be sent to a place to live, receive a communication device, and a small bracelet with a tag that reads Collect all four charms, and you may make a wish. This is followed by four small pictures - a snowflake, a flower, a sun, and a leaf. The guardian spirit of your new home has graced you with this, as well as the opportunity to go on quests and participate in tournaments should you enjoy a good fight. There's just one rule - you may not wish to go home. Because no matter how hard you try, it won't work. Anyways, you'd better get comfortable here. After all, you're going to be here for a very, very long time.

The Summary

Adaugeo is a multi-fandom canon RP. Your characters can be pulled from pretty much anything, as long as they're not your own OCs. Basically, your character is stripped of their body and sent to a different world called Adaugeo. In order to get their body back, they have to give up something important, like memories or items or ... whatever you want, really, as long as it's important. They'll then be sent to a 'segment' of Adaugeo to work, play, fight, and essentially, live in like modern society would.

"Welcome to Miketsukan - well, as welcome as you can be in the penitentiary. Turn in your personal effects and have a seat. You're going to be here for a while." Upon arrival, you undoubtedly noticed the multiple remotely controlled barriers, secured and defensible entrance gates, armed guard towers, roving patrols, highly trained dogs, and electrified fencing. You may have even spotted the motion sensors, concertina wire, alarm system and CCTV monitors. How observant. Think you’ve seen it all? Not even close. Think you can escape? Think again. Miketsukan is a maximum-security prison. You’re not going anywhere. In addition to prison design, you may have also encountered the facility’s driving forces – the employees. Between the warden, unit guard patrol, corrections officers, security personnel, desk attendants, ‘area’ staff, nursing staff, the psychologist, and control room faculty, you’ll soon learn there’s no such thing as privacy. No matter where you are or what you’re doing – someone’s always watching. Nothing is sacred. Anything is punishable. But the faculty is the least of your worries. The darkest members of mankind surround you - gangs, prostitutes, drug dealers, pedophiles, rapists, murderers – and they’re only the beginning. Brutal fights leading to near-death experiences are a common occurrence. You best hope the guards make it in time, because no one else is going to save you. Wake up. You’re alone. You always have been. No one is going to hear you when you scream. Scared? You should be. Just do your time and behave, or plead mercy of whichever gods you may worship, and maybe you won’t end up on death row. Because if there’s one person you really don’t want to meet, it’s the executioner.
