The City

The City [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]

The endless city; the place where you'll be living.

A beautiful place to live, it still has its rare events and bad bouts of events. Most of which are easily avoidable and you have no reason to worry over any of it. There's plenty of accomidations (although for the most part, characters are required to live at the building). Most people live cost-free in the hotel/building and there are abundences of houses and apartment complexes where the other citizens stay. Unfortunately, the generosity of a free place is about it; if you want more, you'll have to get a job.

New stores and buildings pop up often. It isn't unusual for a store that wasn't there on Friday to suddenly be on the street corner the following Sunday. Magic? Maybe.

There are also beautiful gardens and parks and along the west side of the city is a sprawling coastline, though no one seems to be able to sail very far from shore without mysteriously heading back towards it.

The Building [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]

The Building is the place that you'll be living from now on. There are an infinite number of rooms to choose from in two separate wings, each equipped with its own "closet of wonders", which provides clothes, medicine, musical instruments, or just about anything else you'll need (except for food, of course). For your convenience, you'll also find a laptop all set up with your very own online journal; but don't worry, the network only extends as far as the other people in The Building, so no need to concern yourself over contacting your friends, family, or coworkers.

The Bedrooms

The identifying system of the rooms is limited to numbers and wings. This means there will be no plaques with the name of the characters on the doors.

The cleaning system of the rooms, that is up to the level of the character’s comfort. If your character enjoys having things organized, so every time he leaves the room in a mess, he’ll come back to find it clean and tidy. This doesn’t mean things will disappear. The character will find them coincidentally in the first place he searches, where logically the things would be, unless the player wants them to fumble and search around for a special reason. Then again, if your character he enjoys living in a certain state of clutter, his things will still remain in the same place as before if he leaves the room. Basically, it’s all depending on the player’s decision.

Of course there's more to The Building than just the bedrooms! Just below the main rooms, you will find what every luxurious hotel comfortable.

The lobby, on the ground floor, is vastest meeting spot, the only way to go out of the hotel, if you don't use the windows, of course. There's the cafe situated on the first floor, always ready to make you your favorite snack or meal; the library, on the second floor, with a vast array of books spanning any number of topics; the gym, on the third floor, equipped for all of your training needs, together with the Olympic sized swimming pool. Want to relax a bit? You can always go to the spa found next to the pool. And the common room, on the fourth floor, set up with couches and televisions and the perfect size for a party, should the mood take anyone.

The Garage [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]

Going somewhere? No super special powers to take you where you want or just want to appreciate a good cruise? It's simple: Just ask the magical closet in your room for transportation, and you'll get two keys. Go to the elevator and you'll see a new, key-activated floor with the letter "G". Use one of the keys there and voilá! Welcome to The Garage. With every single model of transportation available that would make any collector jealous, you're bound to find your ideal vehicle in no time. Yes, that second key will fit to whatever you want.

What to Do

Opera House [ ]

The abandoned Opera House. Some say ghosts live here, others insist it's a sanctuary for the dead. Most people insist it's empty and useless, advising all against entering.

White Stars Inc. [ ] [ ] [ ]

The mall! The place for clothes, groceries, supplies, pets, gunsand any other necessities. It houses almost any store you could possibly need and accept any form of currency you can come up with. We've heard of people bartering with pocket lint.

Ciel Lounge [ ] [ ] [ ]

One of the best clubs in the city. The more 'mature' members of society are welcome andseen here. It's one of the hardest clubs to possibly get entrance to within the city. There are occasional stage preformances for people to watch; fashion shows, open mic's, concerts. The general entertainment is a DJ that seems to be always spinning something new. Most take comfort in his Thursday Night Spin with the calming atmosphere and light jazz music that he plays while you sip martini's in the corner.

Club Tower [ ] [ ] [ ]

The most popular club in all of the city. Strange, vibrant, usual, loud, and always pulsating with the best music. Most say it's popular because of decorating. We say it's the free alcohol.

Tick Tock Amusement Park [ ]

A bit of a walk from the building, but worth it. Here you can find a ride to please even the most determined of people to not have fun. Rollercoasters, ferris wheels, tea cup rides, and even a skylift to give your aching feet a rest and quickly but leisurely make your way from one side of the park to the other. And, of course, there are food stands and sit down cafes for once your stomach's settled down after riding the tilt-o-whirl.

Shooting Ranges [] []

For those people that just can't go too long without firing off a few rounds, or that maybe just want to do a little target practice that doesn't involve bottles or other people. There are at least two choices: One indoor range and one outdoor.

The Two Bit Arcade [ ] [ ] [ ]

Even the most dedicated gamers need to get out of their rooms sometimes and this is the perfect spot for them. Everything from the latest and most technologically advanced arcade games to the classics from the good old days when hitting a pixelated ball with a pixelated line was the height of space age technology.

Pin Head Lanes [ ] [ ]

Located conveniently next to the arcade is the city's own bowling alley. There's always a free lane to use, your ball of choice in your color of choice, and the rental shoes are suspiciously sanitary. Wednesday and Saturday nights are Disco Bowling Night!

Clave de Sol [ ]

For the aspiring and established musician alike. The music shop with everything you'll ever need to play music -- from the most obscure music scores to the rarest musical instruments to the most hard to find electronics. If you can't find it here, it simply doesn't exist.

Skating Rink [ ]

A shiny new ice-skating rink ringed with huge, sparkling city Christmas trees, decorated with all manner of different ornaments. Plastic Santas, glass baubles, paper cranes. Dolls. Ventriloquist dummies? ...Alright, a couple of them are weird. (will only appear on cold months)

Where to Go

The Fountain [ ]

It's said it's just a fountain that sits in the middle of Hollywood. If you talk to the right people? It allows you to talk to 'shadows' of people from your own world. Whether or not these shadows are the real thing or just a mirage, well, that's all about what you believe, isn't it?

General Hospital [ ]

The hospital; walk in's welcome (and expected), of course. Medical care is free of charge.

Subway [ ]

How you get around the city, just in case you lack a car or other form of transportation.

Cathedral [ ]

Still religious? We commend you. Really. The cathedral is still open and there is a single pastor that dwells there. No one is sure if he's a real pastor or not. Does he work hand-in-hand with the ghosts of the building? Angel or demon is disguise?

No one knows, really. But some have heard the voices of saints when praying within these walls. Who knows what you might experience.

The Beach [] [] [] [ ]

Within walking distance of this urban metropolis is found a little bit of paradise. White, powdery sand; clean, blue water; rocky outcroppings to watch the sunset from or just fish; cliffs to dive off of; maybe even a cave or two if you look hard enough.

The Nanashi Dome []

Located alongside the Tick Tock Amusement Park, the Nanashi Dome is home to all of the major entertainment events in the city. The staff on hand is capable of transforming the field for any number of events from sports games to concerts. There's something to see almost every week so stop by the ticket booth, seats are almost always available.

The Ruins [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]

Scattered throughout the woods and up into the mountains are what remains of civilizations long since gone. Or maybe they were just put there to confuse our resident archaeologists.

Where to Eat

Sweet Tooth Candy Shoppe []

One of the many specialty stores in the city, fun for both kids and adults alike. A whopping two story building, here can be found everything from lollipops to gummi bears, from the most expensive gourmet chocolate to the cheapest mockolate on the market.

The Robin's Egg Diner []

One of the many eating establishments in the city. Located only a couple of blocks from the building and open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, even holidays. Recently underwent a complete renovation due to an unsolicited grenade.

Cafe de Java [ ]

Another of the many places to whet your pallet. Cafe de Java is, as you'd expect, primarily a coffee shop, but also a small cafe. Perfect to stop in for a quick lunch or to sit out on the sidewalk and people watch.

Dunkn' Donuts [ ]

Not what you're thinking it is! Alright, who are we kidding? It's a donut shop. Yes.

Pasta Resistance [ ]

A snazzy little Italian place with really good ravioli. And a remarkably pokerfaced waitstaff, besides. The moodlighting is nice.

Due to the nature of the game and the setting, the city is always expanding and changing as new characters come in and all the characters explore more. That being the case, we encourage players to comment here with additions to the city, providing a name (if they've given it one), the type of establishment, and pictures, if possible.
